Welcome to the new civworldblog.com site. There seems to be little information available to help newcomers to the sure-to-be-huge game from the Sid Meier camp, which has entered Open Beta on Facebook this week.

My aim for this site will hopefully be to help demystify what is probably the most in-depth Facebook game to date. With a considerably complex and not particularly intuitive navigation system, tied with a huge array of options for gameplay, CivWorld is possibly not aimed at the very casual end of the Facebook gamer spectrum, but somewhere beyond the likes of FarmVille and CityVille regulars.

Expect to see quite a lot of cosmetic changes in the coming days while I set this site up to at least look vaguely relevant. At this point, I’ve very new to this incarnation of the game, so hopefully I’ll see some visitor feedback to my posts.
